Our Partners
In its early formative years, Illinois Art Station began as an exclusively outreach organization while operating within the College of Arts and Sciences at Illinois State University. Since establishing itself as an independent nonprofit in 2020 and opening its permanent facility in 2021, IAS has sustained and expanded its commitment to community partnerships and offsite engagement with young artists and families of all neighborhoods and backgrounds.
Notable partnerships and collaborations include: Itsy Arts On Location (social emotional art education at local early learning/childcare centers and libraries); AA3 On Location at the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal (afterschool arts engagement); Arts in Action in collaboration with BJHS GSA and Pride clubs (pilot program centering artists as advocates and art as an agent of change); and school year and summer programming with Western Avenue Community Center (including Art Works! and Art Avenue in collaboration with Artists of the Corn.
