Mission
We strive to provide children, youth, and their families – from all neighborhoods and backgrounds – with transformative learning through hands-on experiences in the visual arts.
Self-Discovery & Empowerment
When children and youth engage with art, they learn about themselves, the world around them, and are empowered to use their voice through creation.
Critical Skill Building
IAS programs guide children and youth to become more confident and engaged citizens and develop skills they need to excel, including critical observation, creative problem solving, and empathy.

Art is a powerful force for learning and expression at every stage of development.
IAS Programming
Through our programming we are providing opportunities for our children to learn, expand, and create – to go out into the world a little more confident, a little brighter, and a little more engaged.
Art can be a powerful force for learning and expression at every stage of development. We are dedicated to designing and implementing quality programs that reach all of our children and youth, from ages 1 to 18.

Making It Possible
While we believe that everyone can benefit from quality visual arts based programming, we have a special focus on reaching traditionally underserved populations and those children and youth who have the least access to these types of programs. In this capacity, we have worked to develop relationships with community partners who help us have the greatest impact on our community. To date we have developed relationships with over 30 area community organizations and nonprofits. Notable partnerships include Boys and Girls Club, the YWCA, and Children’s Home and Aid.
