IAS Impact
Since IAS began programming in mid-2018, we have served over 4,000 children, youth, and their families.
Our programs range from small-scale, individualized programming for smaller groups to large-scale, public art projects created by our community’s youth in partnership with a professional teaching artist.
Art can be a powerful force for learning and expression at every stage of development. We are dedicated to designing and implementing quality programs that reach all children and youth, from ages 3 to 18.
After three years of outreach programming, IAS is set to move into its new permanent facility in 2021. With the opening of its new space, IAS will solidify itself as a community educational institution and serve as a haven for arts education and creative growth.
“A child’s mind is not a container to be filled but rather a fire to be kindled.”

During our second full year of programming, Illinois Art Station served 1654 individuals, a 16% increase over the previous year. Additionally, we facilitated over 7700 art making moments and launched a new community initiative, Itsy Studio: In the Community, funded through the generous support of PNC’s Grow Up Great Grant.®
