“Noodling Around” a Puppet-Making workshop for ages 8+ at Illinois Art Station!
Participants create an original puppet creature from pool noodles, pipe cleaners and craft foam (no glue!) then learn character development and performance from Humor With a Heart’s Jamie Donmoyer and Leslie Carrara-Rudolph (Sesame Street, Muppets).
Young Artists will:
Make-and-take their own puppet creations
Learn how to bring their creations to life

Leslie Carrara-Rudolph is a multi-faceted entertainer, writer, puppeteer, voiceover and visual artist, who grew up creating characters. She is best known for performing “Abby Cadabby“ and Elmo’s dog “Tango” on Sesame Street. You can also find Leslie in the new Muppets Mayhem series as “Penny Waxman” on Disney+ or helping communities navigate life creatively with her friend Jamie Donmoyer and their company Humor With a Heart Productions. Leslie and Jamie are excited to play and make with young artists at Illinois Art Station!
Cost: $60 per young artist, Pay-As-You-Can
Who: Young artists ages 8-12
When: Saturday, September 9 (Only one session per young artist)

Parents and guardians are asked to drop their children off at the start of the program and return for pick-up at 11:15 a.m. or 2:15 p.m. Note that Illinois Art Station will be closed to the general public this day.
Registration for Sunny Days Puppet Making / Performance Workshop is limited to (20) young artists per session.
Art Educators with Spanish-language proficiency will be present for both workshops.
