Illinois Art Station 2019 Youth Mural Project Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

IAS works closely with local organizations to offer dynamic and meaningful arts programming for area children, youth, and teens. Our community programs are free for participants and focus on key areas of development and topics of prime interest to our youth.

If you are interested in partnering with IAS please contact Laura Jaster at laura.jaster@illinoisartstation.org.

IAS Community Programs

Itsy Studio: In the Community

This early childhood program focuses on social and emotional development and pre-literacy skills.

smARTs Lab (in development)

A STEAM-based program for ages 11 to 14, this interdisciplinary program will allow youth to engage with a variety of topics using art as the central focus.

Arts in Action (in development)

This civically engaged, social-justice focused program for high school students explores the various ways in which the visual arts communicate to the public and spark conversation and change. Teens will be asked to participate in scaffolded interpretive conversations and respectful dialogue as they explore key social issues.
